Dr. Elizabeth Jobe Practice Owner, DVM, CCRP, cVMA

Fear Free Professional Badge at The Bailey Vet

Dr. Elizabeth Jobe was born and raised in the South, near Atlanta, Georgia, though she doesn’t have a southern accent to prove it! Her family knew she would become a veterinarian upon the discovery of her sleeping outside in the doghouse with the family pets as a child. Dr. Jobe grew up playing soccer and competed for the USA National team and Clemson University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences in 2007. Upon graduation, Dr. Jobe attended The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2012.

Excited to get out West and to be in the mountains, Dr. Jobe moved to Santa Fe, NM to start her veterinary career; however, her love for physical therapy and sports medicine led her to pursue a more specialized career as the Rehabilitation Director and Medical Director for multiple hospitals in the northern Denver, CO area. Dr. Jobe then moved to Tucson and worked as both Rehabilitation Director and General Practitioner from 2016-2023, and after over a decade in the field decided the calling for ownership was the right fit. The Bailey Veterinary Medical Center was born to honor her 17-year-old dog, Bailey, who has slept under her desk and been a mascot every day at work since she became a veterinarian.

Due to numerous knee surgeries from soccer injuries, Dr. Jobe spent a lot of time in physical therapy igniting her passion and appreciation for physical medicine. She received her certification as a Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) in 2013 through the advanced training program with the University of Tennessee and received her certification as a Veterinary Medical Acupuncturist (cVMA) with Colorado State University in 2014. Additionally, Dr. Jobe completed the Canine Course with the International Academy of Medical Massage for Animals in 2013. She is a Certified Fear Free Practitioner, USDA Accredited Veterinarian and member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Whenever she’s not in the office, you can find Dr. Jobe mountain biking on Mt. Lemmon. Downtime involves cooking, reading, and relaxing with her cool-cat Baloo, who doubles as a fur scarf at night, and McFly, the Siberian Forest Cat who likes jumping in the shower!

Fear Free Professional Badge at The Bailey Vet

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the newest veterinarian to join the team here at The Bailey Veterinary Medical Center. I admire this clinic’s commitment to providing exceptional care. I am honored to be working alongside Dr. Jobe and the rest of the staff to serve you and your beloved companion.

My journey in veterinary medicine began with a deep love for working on my grandfather‘s dairy and horse farm in Northeast Ohio. This led me to earn my DVM degree from The Ohio State University. Since then, throughout my over 40 years of veterinary practice, I have developed a particular interest in feline internal medicine and veterinary ultrasound imaging. I obtained my feline specialty diplomat status from the American board of veterinary practitioners in 1998, as well as advanced training throughout the years in cardiac and abdominal ultrasound.

My philosophy of care is simple. I treat every patient as if they were my own. I believe in clear communication and working as a partner with you to ensure your pets live long, happy and healthy lives. When I’m not at the clinic I enjoy spending time with my family and two cats (Bip and Bop) and my energetic chocolate lab (Ben). I am looking forward to meeting with you and your furry family very soon. Please feel free to say hello the next time you are in the clinic!
